Pet CBD Oil in Cortez, from a Southwest Colorado Farm

Colorado-grown pet CBD oil, made on a family farm in Durango and delivered to Cortez and Montezuma County.

From a Southwest Colorado Farm to Cortez

Cortez sits at the heart of Montezuma County, about 45 miles west of our farm in Durango. Life out here happens outdoors, and dogs come along for all of it: hikes, camping trips, long drives and days on the ranch. We make our oils for exactly that kind of life.

Bloodhound Hemp Farms makes full-spectrum CBD oil from hemp we grow ourselves in southwest Colorado. That means you are buying from a regional family farm, not a national brand shipping from who knows where. We grow with natural methods and no pesticides, blend with MCT coconut oil, and have every batch tested by an independent lab before it reaches you.

Where most Cortez owners start

Cortez orders skew toward people who camp with their dogs, and a bottle that lives in a truck console needs to be easy to use one-handed at a trailhead. Most campers take Bacon 600mg for the road and Plain 750mg for home, so the stronger bottle stays out of the heat. If your dog eats around anything unfamiliar, Cheese 600mg is the one that usually wins.

Memphis, the bloodhound Bloodhound Hemp Farms is named for

Meet the Farm Behind the Bottle

Bloodhound Hemp Farms is named for Memphis, our family bloodhound, whose stiff joints and restless nights sent us looking for a gentle, natural way to help her — and what we found became this farm. Memphis crossed the rainbow bridge in March 2025 at age 13, and her pack of four keeps us company in the fields today. Owners Cammy Donnen and Jeff Blevans still run the place themselves, and every bottle is made in her honor.

Our Full-Spectrum CBD Oils

Three simple oils, each blended with temperature-stable MCT coconut oil and tested by an independent lab. The dropper lets you adjust the serving to your pet's size.

Made for Cortez Dogs

Hot high-desert summers

Senior dogs can struggle in the heat. Our oils help support comfort and rest — always alongside shade, water and cooler walking times.

Hiking and camping trips

From Mesa Verde to McPhee Reservoir, Cortez dogs cover a lot of ground. Full-spectrum CBD helps support joint comfort and recovery.

Travel and new places

Long drives and campsites can unsettle some dogs. A serving before you go can help promote calm.

Everyday wellness

Many owners give a small daily serving to support overall balance, sleep and mood.

Adventure Tips for Montezuma County Dogs

Heading out to Mesa Verde, McPhee or the canyons? Pack more water than you think you need, check paws after rocky trails, and plan shorter outings in midday heat. Note that pets have limited access on many national park trails, so check the rules before you go. For dogs who get anxious in new places, try a serving at home first so you know how your dog responds, then bring the bottle along. The adjustable dropper makes it easy to give a small amount at the campsite or before the drive home.

Why Full-Spectrum?

Full-spectrum hemp oil keeps more of the plant together: CBD plus other cannabinoids like CBG and CBC, along with natural terpenes and flavonoids. Working together they create what is known as the entourage effect, so the whole blend supports your pet's balance better than CBD alone. Every animal, from a Great Dane to a house cat, has an endocannabinoid system for CBD to work with, gently and without intoxication. No pesticides, no fillers, non-GMO, third-party lab tested.

Yes. We ship throughout Montezuma County, including Cortez and Dolores, straight from our farm in Durango.

CBD can be part of a daily routine year-round, but it does not replace shade, fresh water and cool walking times. Store the bottle out of direct sun and never leave it in a hot car. Check with your vet if your dog has health concerns.

Many owners give a serving 30–60 minutes before a drive to help their dog settle. Try it at home first so you know how your dog responds.

Full-spectrum hemp extract grown on our Durango farm, MCT coconut oil and, for Bacon and Cheese, a light natural flavor. No pesticides, no fillers, non-GMO.

You can carry it, but pets have limited access on park trails and in buildings, so check the current park rules before you plan the day around your dog.

No. Serving size follows your dog's weight and response, not elevation. Start at 0.25–0.5ml a day and adjust slowly, and talk to your vet if your dog has a health condition.
