Your Neighbours Down Highway 160
Bayfield is about 20 miles up Highway 160 from our farm, close enough that we think of you as neighbours. Out here, dogs have room to roam: along the Pine River, up at Vallecito Lake, and across plenty of open acreage. That active life is exactly why we make our oils the way we do.
Bloodhound Hemp Farms is a small family farm in Durango. We grow our own hemp at high altitude with no pesticides, make full-spectrum CBD oil for dogs and cats, and test every batch with an independent lab. Whether your dog spends the day swimming or guarding the property, our oils are made to support calm, comfort and mobility the natural way. And because the dropper is adjustable, one bottle can work for several pets in the same home.

Where most Bayfield owners start
Multi-dog homes are the norm out here, and they are the reason Plain 750mg outsells everything else in Bayfield: it is the strongest bottle we make, so it stretches furthest across a pack. Owners of one water-loving retriever usually prefer Cheese 600mg, which goes down easily after a long day at the lake when a dog is more interested in sleeping than eating.
Meet the Farm Behind the Bottle
Bloodhound Hemp Farms is named for Memphis, our family bloodhound, whose stiff joints and restless nights sent us looking for a gentle, natural way to help her — and what we found became this farm. Memphis crossed the rainbow bridge in March 2025 at age 13, and her pack of four keeps us company in the fields today. Owners Cammy Donnen and Jeff Blevans still run the place themselves, and every bottle is made in her honor.

Lake and river days
A day of swimming and fetch at Vallecito or along the Pine River can leave joints tired. Full-spectrum CBD helps support comfortable recovery.
Multi-dog homes
Lots of Bayfield families have more than one dog. With an adjustable dropper, you can give each pet the serving that suits their size from the same bottle.
Storm season
When summer storms roll over the ridges, our oils can help your dog stay settled.
Aging farm dogs
Senior dogs who have spent years on the property deserve comfortable golden years. A daily serving supports mobility and restful sleep.
Tips for Active Bayfield Dogs
After a big lake or river day, give your dog time to cool down, rinse off and rest somewhere soft. Keep an eye on older dogs who try to keep up with younger ones; they often overdo it and pay for it the next morning. A consistent daily serving of full-spectrum CBD can help support comfortable recovery, and our Bacon and Cheese flavors make it easy to give as a treat at the end of the day. For homes with cats as well as dogs, the Plain oil works for both.

Why Full-Spectrum?
Full-spectrum hemp oil keeps more of the plant together: CBD plus other cannabinoids like CBG and CBC, along with natural terpenes and flavonoids. Working together they create what is known as the entourage effect, so the whole blend supports your pet's balance better than CBD alone. Every animal, from a Great Dane to a house cat, has an endocannabinoid system for CBD to work with, gently and without intoxication. No pesticides, no fillers, non-GMO, third-party lab tested.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Order online and your oil ships from our farm in Durango, about 20 miles away, so it does not have far to go.
Yes. The dropper lets you adjust the serving for each pet, so a single bottle can cover several dogs of different sizes. Start with a small amount for each and adjust gradually.
Our oils are made for dogs and cats. Many cat owners prefer the Plain flavor. Start with a very small serving and check with your vet first.
No. Hemp-derived CBD is non-intoxicating. Our full-spectrum oils contain only trace amounts of THC within legal hemp limits, and every batch is lab tested.
Not for the oil itself, but do give the serving after your dog has dried off and settled rather than at the water's edge. A calm dog on a towel keeps the dropper where you put it.
Orders leave the farm within two business days, and Bayfield is only about twenty miles east on Highway 160, so it is one of the shortest trips a bottle of ours makes.
