CBD Oil for Dogs in Durango, Grown Right Here
Full-spectrum CBD oil for dogs and cats, grown on our family hemp farm right here in Durango.
Durango’s Own Hemp Farm
Bloodhound Hemp Farms is a family hemp farm on Rustic Road in Durango. Cammy Donnen and Jeff Blevans started it after searching Durango pet shops for a CBD oil their own senior dog could actually take, and coming up empty. As the Durango Herald reported, the only option they could find back then was hard to give a dog at all. So they decided to make a better one.
Today we grow our hemp at high altitude with natural methods and no pesticides, and turn it into full-spectrum CBD oil that Durango dogs lick straight from the dropper. You are not buying from a warehouse three states away; you are buying from neighbours who walk the same trails you do. Our bloodhound, Memphis, was the reason we began, and every bottle is still made in her honor.

Where most Durango owners start
Durango dogs are trail dogs. The owners who walk in with a lab or a heeler that covers ten miles on a Saturday usually leave with Bacon 600mg for everyday use, and pick up Plain 750mg once their dog moves into its senior years and needs a bigger serving. Households with a cat in the mix go straight to Plain, since there is no added flavour to argue with.
Meet the Farm Behind the Bottle
Bloodhound Hemp Farms is named for Memphis, our family bloodhound, whose stiff joints and restless nights sent us looking for a gentle, natural way to help her — and what we found became this farm. Memphis crossed the rainbow bridge in March 2025 at age 13, and her pack of four keeps us company in the fields today. Owners Cammy Donnen and Jeff Blevans still run the place themselves, and every bottle is made in her honor.

Fourth of July and fireworks season
When fireworks light up the sky over town, many dogs pace, hide or tremble. Our oils are made to support a sense of calm, and many owners start a few days ahead so their dog is settled before the noise begins.
The train whistle and busy downtown weekends
Between the Narrow Gauge Railroad whistle, festival crowds and summer traffic on Main Avenue, Durango can be a lot for a sensitive dog. A daily serving can help promote a more relaxed pup.
Trail days on the Animas River Trail and Horse Gulch
Active Durango dogs cover serious miles. Full-spectrum CBD helps support healthy joints and comfortable recovery after long days out, especially for dogs getting into their senior years.
Vet visits and car rides
Whether it is a quick trip across town or a drive up to the mountains, our oils can help your dog stay settled in the car and at the vet's office.
A Durango Dog’s Year, Season by Season
Spring mud season means shorter walks and restless dogs cooped up indoors. Summer brings trail miles, river swims and the Fourth of July. Fall is prime hiking weather before the first snow, and winter means cold mornings that older dogs feel in their joints. Our oils fit into every season: a steady daily serving for joint comfort and everyday balance, and a little extra planning around the loud nights. Keep a bottle at home and one in the car, and your dog is covered wherever the week takes you.

Why Full-Spectrum?
Full-spectrum hemp oil keeps more of the plant together: CBD plus other cannabinoids like CBG and CBC, along with natural terpenes and flavonoids. Working together they create what is known as the entourage effect, so the whole blend supports your pet's balance better than CBD alone. Every animal, from a Great Dane to a house cat, has an endocannabinoid system for CBD to work with, gently and without intoxication. No pesticides, no fillers, non-GMO, third-party lab tested.
